11:26 p.m.DID WE GET YOU THINKING????
Juke N’ Jamm had a little fun on the show this past Saturday afternoon. In the studio, we interviewed “The Red Headed Stranger from Texas” or it was thought to be. We later revealed it was none other than our special guest, Marion Deaton who is a Willie Nelson Tribute Artist. Marion remarkably looks, talks, and sings just like Willie Nelson. We played cuts from his self-titled CD which offers all of the Willie Nelson favorites and is available on his website, www.mariondeaton.net. He currently performs as Marion Deaton and the Smooth Willie Show Band taking his Tribute Show all over the country. There’s a possible local show in the works as details are being worked out with Neil’s. As soon as things are finalized, Juke N’ Jamm will let you know. It was a pleasure having Marion Deaton on the show and appreciate him taking time out of his busy schedule to spend an afternoon with us. To contact Marion Deaton, call (901) 377-6971 or email him at mdea@bellsouth.net.

09:16 p.m.SHE'S GOING TO HOLLYWOOD!!!
The staff here at Juke N' Jamm would like to send our congratulations to Memphis-own dynomite, Ms. DANI MCCULLOCH for successfully singing her way through to the next round of American Idol. Out of 16,000 auditioning at the FedEx Forum, Dani is among the 22 top elite that will travel to Hollywood soon to represent Memphis in the upcoming months. Juke N' Jamm first met Dani two years ago through an interview with her in March 2005. We knew this powerhouse was special after hearing her debut CD, "Outside The Lines" recorded at the age of 16. Remarkably, she co-wrote all the songs on this album. The quality and dynamics of her voice have already matured beyond her years. Dani performs regularly around Memphis and has already toured the US on numerous occasions. She's been involved in several projects including Inside Sounds' "Fried Glass Onions: Memphis Meets The Beatles" Vol I & II releases. Dani's music has been featured on Juke N' Jamm and we're looking forward to more of her work in the future. We wish you all the best, Dani and proud of your accomplishments so far. We can't wait to hear what happens next. Watch out Hollywood - Memphis is going to show you how music should be heard! Visit Dani's website at www.danimc.com or www.myspace.com/dani. ALSO.....Catch Dani performing live on stage at EP's Delta Kitchen located on Beale Street this Wednesday, Jan 24th & next Wednesday, Jan 31st from 8:30pm to 12:30am.
